Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER), Crete's main airport, sits around 5 km / 3 mi east of Heraklion on the central northern coast. It is around 61km / 38mi (55 minutes') drive from the hotel. The airport receives flights from a large number of cities across Europe, including the UK. Many flights operate in the summer seaon, otherwise it may be required to fly indirect via Athens.
Alternatively, Chania International Airport, "Daskalogiannis" (CHQ), is located on the northwestern Akrotiri Peninsula, 14 km / 8.7 mi east of Chania. It is around 207km / 129mi / 3 hours' drive from the hotel. The airport also receives a number seasonal flights from cities across Europe, including the UK, and year-round flights from Athens.
