Hostalet de Begur - Adults Only

A hidden treasure in the hills of the Costa Brava.

By Victoria Lomax, VeryChic correspondent
Can you keep a secret? If I were to tell you where to go for an unforgettably peaceful holiday in a place you’d least expect it, could you keep it to yourself? We don’t want everybody knowing, you understand. If too many people find out there is a place on the Costa Brava that has not yet been scarred by the blazing tourist industry in this extremely popular region of Spain, well, it would spoil everything, wouldn’t it? In any case, the town is so well hidden, you’d never find it if you didn’t know it was there, and with only seven lovely rooms, the Hostalet de Begur couldn’t handle a massive influx of tourists. I’ve already said too much, but I’ve started, so I’ll finish. I trust you can keep everything under your sun hat.

However, you will also find a much larger selection of international flights to Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), 145 km (90 mi) to the south of the hotel (12 km / 7.5 mi southwest of Barcelona city centre). The airport is well served by flights from capitals and large cities all across Europe. While many airlines operate to and from Barcelona-El Prat, it acts notably as a main base for Vueling, and as a hub for Iberia, Air Europa, Ryanair, and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
