View all offersLaid out along the sparkling Vltava River, the Czech Republic's capital city of Prague is a popular city-break destination that rivals Paris, London, and Barcelona. With its UNESCO-listed Old Town, colourful baroque buildings, Gothic churches, plus fantastic food and drink, it has all the ingredients for a fabulous escape. As with any city break, where you stay is paramount, and the four-star Maximilian Hotel is the perfect choice with its quiet location opposite St. Hastal church in the Jewish Quarter, yet within a ten to fifteen-minute walk from the main sights such as Charles Bridge, Old Town and Wenceslas Squares.
Sister to the stylish Hotel Josef design hotel, you'll be delighted by the pure, understated chic and minimalist décor of the Maximilian Hotel, which has also been curated by celebrated Czech architect and designer Eva Jiricna. Set over two historic buildings connected by a bright corridor, it beautifully blends modern design and historic charm - with the original design of one building by Czech architectural critic and historian Karel Teige in the 1920s.
Start your day by feasting on the generous, inclusive buffet breakfast offering fresh pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurt, and French toast served buffet style with à-la-carte options – you'll need the energy for exploring! Whilst there are countless options for drinks and dining in the city, the hotel's brasserie restaurant is an excellent choice, serving delicious dishes made with fresh and sustainable local ingredients.
After you have walked the breadth of this incredible city, you'll need to recuperate and rest those tired feet, so head to the hotel’s peaceful Planet Zen Spa, a favourite with both the locals as well as hotel guests and indulge in a massage guaranteed to immerse mind, body, and spirit. It will leave you restored and ready to continue your adventures the next day!
