Mama Shelter has arrived in one of France’s most iconic cities, Dijon, the capital of Burgandy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its rich history, vibrant culture, prestigious wine, and world-famous mustard. The hotel, set in a fully renovated historic-listed brutalist building from the 1960s, next to two of the city’s landmarks, the Saint-Bénigne Cathedral, and the Jardin Darcy, combines the fun-loving, quirky chic décor that you would expect from a Mama Shelter hotel, with design touches inspired by the region’s rich heritage.

  • Dole–Jura Airport (DLE) is located around 50 km / 30 mi / 40 minutes' drive southeast of Dijon. It is little-served, although does receives a few seasonal flights from London.

    The closest well served international airport is Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS), around 214 km / 133 mi / 2 hours' drive south of Dijon. It receives flights from a large number of major cities across Europe, including the UK.

BY TRAIN

  • Gare de Dijon-Ville is located just a short distance from the hotel. It is the main station in Dijon and receives France's high-speed TGV train services. It is therefore possible to reach Dijon by train rapidly from a number of neighbouring countries as well as elsewhere in France. The journey from Paris-Gare de Lyon to Dijon takes less than 2 hours which makes flying to Paris, then taking a train, a viable option.
