BY PLANE
The city is served by Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), located around 10 km / 6 mi west of the city centre.
It is fairly well served, and receives flights from most captials and a number of other major cities across Europe. The airport serves as a hub for Czech Airlines, and also as a base for SmartWings, Wizz Air, and Ryanair.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
- By transfer: you may arrange in advance with the hotel for a transfer from the airport, available for a surcharge.
- By taxi: Tick Tack is recommended instead of taking a regular airport taxi. You can pay in Euros or Czech koruna. Standard prices are from 490CZK.
- By bus/tram: From Terminal 1 at the airport, take the 119 bus towards Dejvická for 11 stops. Change at Dejvická. Walk 50 metres to the Dejvická metro station (straight ahead from the bus stop) and take the A line in direction of Depo Hostivar. Get off after 3 stops at Staromestska. Once you leave the metro you have an 8 minute walk to the hotel. Exit the station on Kaprova road and walk towards Maiselova road, pass this and continue on Nám. Franze Kafky, turn right onto Pařížská and follow the road around keeping to your right. Take the next right onto Staroměstské nám, then the first left onto Týnská. Continue and the road name will eventually change to Jakubská, the hotel will be on your right just before the end of the road.
BY TRAIN
Arriving in Prague there are two likely stations you will arrive at: Hlavní nádrazí (Main Station), the biggest station, with ticket offices, a train information centre and a Prague information service; or Nádrazí Holesovice (Holesovice Station), often the terminus for trains from Berlin and other destinations to the north and from the west. To travel to the hotel from either station, you can buy a 30-minute pass for 24CZK.
From Hlavní nádrazí:
This station is less than a 15min journey from the hotel. When you exit the station switch to the tram 5 or 26 (which is 350 metres from Hlavni down Opletalova) towards Nádraží Podbaba. Get off at Náměstí Republiky at exit onto this road. Take the second right onto Králodvorská then take your immediate left. Turn right onto Rybná. The hotel will be on the corner of this road and Jakubská on your left.
From Nádrazí Holesovice:
The tram stop is a five minute walk from the station. Take the tram number 24 or 54 towards Kubánské náměstí and get off at Náměstí Republiky (see walking directions above.) The journey takes about 20 minutes in total.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
