Once a humble fishing town that caught the eye of a certain Portuguese royal, Cascais has since blossomed into a sophisticated and upscale retreat, sandwiched perfectly between Lisbon and the rather stunning Atlantic coast. It was here that I found the Sheraton Cascais Resort in all its splendour; a perfectly placed escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
