Named after the spectacular views over the island and out to the Atlantic Ocean, this tranquil and isolated resort is the perfect break from the stresses of everyday life. Here, you can practice one of the most relaxing sports; golf, in the 18-hole golf course that has peaceful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the sound of running waterfalls in the background. If golf is not your thing, though I always say don’t knock it until you try it, then a walk or hike in this spectacular countryside is sure to refresh your mind, soul and body with island air. If you feel a little more adventurous, then there’s sea kayaking and mountain biking to try all nearby.

The best thing to do when you return is to visit the Nammu spa, and sink into the harmonious waters of the Jacuzzi, detox in the sauna or refresh in the hammam. Products are sourced from the natural volcanic material found on the Canary Islands, and there is even a mask made of the famous canarian bananas. Relaxing is still hungry work, so I’m sure you’ll be looking forward to the traditional canarian cuisine of Heriberto Rodriguez, at El Gourmet Canario where a fresh and modern twist is added to traditional canarian dishes. The dining area exudes a chic vibe with decor from the colonial age, beiges mixed with deep greys and colonial-designed chairs with decorative backs and an interesting collection of antique mirrors and picture frames hung on the wall. Or there’s the themed buffet dinner which is changed from night to night to provide a wide variety of foods.

After you’ve delighted your taste buds and satisfied your stomach, your double room with a sea view beckons. The exquisite design of the hotel is also demonstrated in the rooms, in smooth and peaceful colours. The Spacious 40m² comes with a pillow menu and comprises of a small dressing room, large double bed, desk, and television, corner day bed that faces a spectacular sea view. The bathroom is tiled in terracotta colours evoking a Spanish flavour and comprises of toilet, bidet, sink and walk-in, hydro-massage shower. The adjoining terrace is perfect for stargazing after a filling meal, before retiring to a large and comfortable bed.

The next morning bring a delicious buffet breakfast selection which you might want to eat al fresco under the Tenerife morning sun. If you prefer there is also the spacious, a light and airy breakfast hall characterised by arches and high ceilings, a similar decor to Buenavista’s beautiful bar. Here the ceilings stretch up to the sky and adorned with golden lanterns. Start your day with a short stroll around the resort and appreciate the garden and pool area, beautifully blended in with the surrounding nature.
