La Mare Aux Oiseaux ★★★★

An extraordinary dream made real on the tiny island of Fédrun.

By Judith Bennet, VeryChic correspondent
So close to home and yet a continent, a world, a culture away, we discovered the tiny island of Fédrun in its marsh and reed surroundings on the recommendation of a good friend. It is a world within a world; the result of one person’s vision brought triumphantly to life. The visionary is award-winning Chef Eric Guerin, the dream he has brought to life is La Mare Aux Oiseaux ****. An unforgettable birthday trip took us only a short jump over the channel, but into a completely new world.
