Finikas Luxury Hotel ★★★★

All-encompassing luxury on a paradisiacal Greek island.

Exceptional

By Amy Turner, VeryChic correspondent
My husband is not an indulgent beach holiday kind of man. Sure, he likes his creature comforts, appreciates beauty, pleasure, good food... But there's something about his restless soul that doesn't quite sit right with lounging on the beach. Culture, learning, history... These are the things that have always made him tick and it's part of what I love about him I suppose. Yet it does mean that holidays can become something of a battle of wills; he sulks as I stretch out by the pool with a book, or I pout as we crawl round another museum, reading every single panel as we go...! Now what would be perfect, truly perfect, is somewhere with beauty and beaches, white sand and a high-end hotel for the lady and a healthy dose of culture and edification for sir. Who says marriage has to be a compromise? This time we've chosen the best of both worlds with a stay at the Finikas Luxury Hotel on the Greek island of Naxos, a splash of white in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, steeped in mythology and ancient history.
