BY PLANE

  • Brussels is served by two airports, Brussels National Airport (17 km) located in the neighbouring municipality of Zaventem, and Brussels-South Charleroi Airport (58 km) located between Brussels and Charleroi in Gosselies.

Brussels National Airport receives flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Brussels-South Charleroi Airport from many cities across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL

  • - By taxi: Taxis are always available in front of the arrivals hall and the fare to the city centre is normally around 45€.

    - By train: The airport express runs between the airport and city centre, you should get off at Brussels Central Station, an 8 minute walk from the hotel. Cross the Carrefour de L'Europe and walk up the Bld de l'Impératrice, turn left down Rue d'Assaut, continue onto Rue Montagne aux Herbes Potagères then turn left down Rue du Fossé aux Loups.

    - By bus: The Airport Line bus runs two buses to the city centre, Line 12 and 21. Both terminate at Luxemburg Square; from there you have a choice of taxi or a Tram from in front of the station, Line 38. You can also walk up to Maelbeek metro station, and take line 1 (purple). For both the tram and metro, get off at De Brouckère, a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

The journey time is about 45 minutes to Brussels-Midi station; it is one of the cheapest, most convenient ways of reaching the city. Tickets cost around € 13 single and € 22 return. - By car: Charleroi Airport is about 55 kilometres (34 miles) from Brussels. Driving to Brussels is quite straight forward as the airport is directly south of Brussels city centre.
