The charming town of Pont-l’Evêque is located in the Calvados department of Normandy. The Hotel & Spa Le Lion d'Or is a renovated inn located in Pont L'Evêque, a 15 minute drive from Deauville.

PLANE

  • The closest airport is Caen-Carpiquet Airport (CFR), around 45 minutes' drive west of the hotel, with a handful of international flights, including from London. Alternatively, the airports of Paris are a litte over 2 hours' drive to the east of the hotel (Paris Charles de Gaulle northeast of Paris, Paris Orly south of Paris, and Paris–Beauvais north of Paris.

    From all of the airports we recommend renting a car in order to reach the hotel and explore the area during your stay. Alternatively, from Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly, it is possible to take line B of the RER to Paris Gare du Nord station (taking around 50 minutes), from which, trains depart to Pont de l’Eveque (taking around 2 hours). Pont de l’Eveque train station is a few minutes walk from the hotel.

BY FERRY FROM THE UK

  • Ferries travel between Portsmouth and Caen-Ouistreham Port three times a day, taking around 4 hours and 30 minutes, from there, it is a 40 minute drive to the hotel. Alternatively, take a ferry or the Eurotunnel to Calais, from which it is around a 3 hour drive south to the hotel.
