New York
United States
New York currently has two main international airports: The John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.
- From the UK: Direct flights are operated from London to New York by many major airlines, including: British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, United, and American Airlines. United also run flights from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast.
- From Ireland: Flying from Dublin, you can find direct flights provided by Aer Lingus, US Airways and United. Aer Lingus and United also fly from Shannon.
- From Germany: Several carriers fly direct out of Berlin, including: Lufthansa, Air Berlin, United and American Airlines. Lufthansa and United also fly out of other cities such as Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich.
- From the Netherlands: KLM, Lufthansa and United all offer direct flights from Amsterdam to New York.
- From Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland: SAS, Norwegian and United fly direct out of Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway. Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian fly direct out Copenhagen, Denmark. Finnair and Norwegian fly indirect from Helsinki, Finland.
- From France: Direct flights from Paris are provided by Air France, British Airways, Delta, American Airlines, US Airways and XL Airways France. Air France and Delta also fly out of Nice, and XL Airways France fly out of Marseille.
The airports of JFK International and Newark Liberty are both located within 20-25 km (25-30 minutes) of the hotel, although routes and times depend on often heavy traffic conditions and can therefore be longer.
- By taxi: a taxi is the most comfortable, but not the most economical solution. Above all, be sure to take a real, licensed taxi (choose one from the designated taxi rank at the airport). It costs about $ 50 from John F. Kennedy or Newark airport to Manhattan, plus any tolls on the way and the tip (15 %); all in all, the total cost is usually around $ 70.
- By bus: The NYC Airporter run services between John F. Kennedy airport and the city centre; get off at Port Authority Bus Terminal. (Around $16 One-Way and $29 Round Trip.)
Meanwhile, the Olympia Newark Express runs from Newark Liberty airport to the city centre; get off at Port Authority Bus Terminal. (Around $16 One-Way and $28 Round Trip.)
From Port Authority Bus Terminal, you can take the subway service A, C or E from 34th Street – Penn Station down to 14th Street – Eighth Avenue.
- By private shuttle: You can also take a private shuttle (capacity: 8 people maximum), from Shuttle New York, which will drop passengers off in front of their hotel. You can book in a shared or private shuttle, however you must book before you leave.
- Subway: 14th Street – Eighth Avenue subway station is served by services A, C & E (blue) and is a 6 minute walk from the hotel. When exiting the metro walk down 8th Avenue and turn right down West 14th Street; then turn left down 9th Avenue, the hotel will be on the left.
- Bus: The bus stop Hudson St/West 13 St is two minutes down the road from the hotel, served by lines M11 (orange) and M14A (green).
