View all offersAn impressive, ornate façade rises up before me, reminiscent of a giant pink frosted wedding cake. When I enter, I am met with a sweeping, sleek modern design that belies yet perfectly complements the exterior. A harmonious blend of old and new, where the sumptuousness of the traditional style is honoured and translated into a contemporary context. Shining chrome, elegant pillars, white washed walls and artistic lighting give a chic, glossy feel, yet there are more homely details that make the atmosphere embracing and cosy, such as the wicker chairs and printed cushions. All combine to create the ambiance of a luxury seaside resort with very sophisticated style and a typically Italian, relaxed undertone. It's quite charming and I eagerly head to my room to see what might be in store for me there.
It turns out to be 25 square meters of bright and simple elegance. The double bed is like lying on a fluffy cloud wrapped in crisp, soft sheets. A pretty, floral wallpaper and panelled walls bring back the flavour of the hotel's classical heritage, whilst keeping the up-to-date tone with the state-of-the-art flat screen television and the slick hydromassage shower in the bathroom. The best of both worlds! I need to freshen up after the journey and settle into my luxurious routine and there is no better way to my mind then to visit the hotel's Wellness Centre.
It doesn't take me long to locate it and as I enter its serene space, I already feel my shoulders relax a little bit. An hour later and I have swum, steamed and sweated and am now lying in a state of bliss in the Himalayan salt room. I could easily lose track of time here and spend hours between the Finnish sauna and the Hammam, and why not? Between the hotel's gorgeous gardens, the fabulous location, the shimmering Ligurian sea just moments away, the divine Italian food, which I can find right here at the Plinio Riviera restaurant, and the decadent, dreamy setting, I will certainly have plenty to pamper myself with. This is all I could ask for and more - Grazie mille Europa Hotel Design Spa!
