BY PLANE

  • The closest airport is the Avignon – Provence Airport which is located only 45km northeast of the hotel. However, flights to Avignon are limited to 3 seasonal flight routes from the UK. The next closest airport is the Marseille – Provence Airport which is locate 86km south of the hotel. Flights to Marseille are listed below:

    - From the UK: British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair fly from London. Seasonal flights are also operated by easyJet from Bristol, and Ryanair from Edinburgh.

    - From Ireland: Ryanair operates seasonal flights out of Dublin.

    - From Germany: Air France fly from Berlin and Lufthansa flies from Frankfurt and Munich.

    - From Sweden: Ryanair fly seasonally from Stockholm.

    - From Denmark: Norwegian Air Shuttle fly from Copenhagen.

    - From Finland: SAS fly seasonally from Helsinki.

    - From France: Air France fly directly from Paris, Biarritz and Bordeaux.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By Taxi: You can opt for a taxi to take you to the villas but this is much more costly then renting a car. It will cost between 110€ and 130€ (around £78-£92) and take a little over an hour. 

    - By Car: Considering the relative isolation from public transport of the, the easiest way to arrive to the hotel is to rent a car at the airport and drive. This will also be hassle free way to arrive especially if traveling with children. From the airport, take A7 motorway north towards Lyon and take N°25 exit for Cavaillon.Take the D99 to Route de Marseille/D938. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Avenue du Pont and continue onto Avenue de Verdun. Continue onto Avenue du Maréchal Joffre and turn left onto Avenue Charles Péguy. Continue onto Avenue Pierre Semard and make a slight right onto Avenue Abel Sarnette. Stay slightly left to stay on Avenue Abel Sarnette and at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Take another slight right toward Avenue John Fitzgerald Kennedy and continue onto Route de Gordes/D15. Continue to follow D15 for about 10km and then turn left onto the D2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on D2 and then turn right when you see the small sign for the Au Point de Lumiere hotel. Follow this road straight and take the 3rd left and then the first right onto Chemin du Lavoir de Surgens. Continue straight until you see the Villas on the right.

    - By Train: You can alternatively take a TGV or a TER train from Marseille to the Avignon TGV or Avignon Centre stations. From here it is somewhat shorter 62km trip to the Villas. You can rent a car at either of these stations or take a taxi. A taxi will cost also cost between 110€ and 130€ (around £78-£92) and take a little under an hour. 

BY TRAIN

  • Having recently inaugurated the London Marseille line, the Eurostar now stops in Avignon at the Avignon TGV station, which is just 6km southwest of the city centre. From the station you can either take a taxi to the hotel or also rent a car and drive to the hotel. Taking a taxi will cost between 110€ and 130€ (around £78-£92) and take a little under an hour.
