  • Make the most of the location to explore Rome by foot, with the hotel in the middle of a great circuit which includes the Piazza del Popolo, the Piazza di Spagna, the Spanish Steps, the Villa Borghese Gardens and the Trevi Fountain. Keep up with the fashionable locals by exploring the excellent upmarket shopping on offer in between these famous attractions.

  • A romantic stroll around the cobbled medieval lanes of the Trastevere, a historic area which is peaceful in the morning but buzzing and atmospheric by night. Continue up the Janiculum Hill for some incredible panoramas of the city.
  • If you fancy leaving Rome behind for a few hours, we recommend a trip to Frascati, an easy train ride away from Termini Station. Known for its food and drink, it boasts numerous wine cellars to explore and plenty of authentic eateries. Meanwhile, visitors can enjoy a more peaceful and rural atmosphere than in the city, some great viewpoints looking out towards Rome, and the grandeur of some traditional villas.

7 Inn Spanish Steps Hotel in Rome is set between the famous Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, in the heart of Rome's historic centre and 5 minutes’ drive from the Villa Borghese park.

PLANE

  • The main airport serving Rome is Rome Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci Airport, 35.0 km (21.7 mi) southwest of the city centre, it recives flights from many capitals and major cities. Some low-cost airlines however, notably Ryanair, fly into Rome Ciampino Airport, 12 km (7.5 mi) south-southeast of the city centre.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL

  • Getting from Fiumicino Airport to the hotel:
    - By hotel transfer: A hotel transfer is available from Ciampino or Fiumicino airports for a surcharge of 50€ per trip (maximum 3 people)

    - By train: The Leonardo Express takes about 30 minutes to get to Termini Station, it runs 7 days a week and costs around 15€, with children under 12 going free. From there, either take a taxi directly to the hotel or take the metro line A for three stops up to Flaminio and walk. Turn right onto Via di Villa Ruffo, then left onto Piazzale Flaminio, right onto Via Luisa Savoia, then left onto Via Principessa, then at the end of the road turn left onto Via dell’Oca. Turn right onto Via di Ripetta, the hotel will be on your left.

    - By bus: Terravision run non-stop buses, also to Termini Station. From there, follow the same directions as above, taking a taxi or the metro to Flaminio.

    Getting from Ciampino Airport to the hotel:
    - By hotel transfer: A hotel transfer is available from Ciampino or Fiumicino airports for a surcharge of 50€ per trip (maximum 3 people)

    - By train: Bus service CO.TRA.L operate buses connecting the airport to the Anagnina metro station (line A). From Anagnina, it is a direct 40-minute metro journey to Flaminio metro station, just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

    - By bus: Terravision run non-stop buses to Termini Station. From there, again either take a taxi directly to the hotel or take metro line A to Flaminio, just around the corner from the hotel. Tickets are 6€ single (4€ online) or 11€ return (8€ online) and the journey time is around 40 minutes.
