The capital of Tuscany is a love affair between Italy’s finest offerings: culture and cuisine, shopping and sightseeing. Coupling chic interior design with charming customer service, the Club Hotel captures the very essence of Italian style.

  • Visit an artisan’s studio in Oltrarno, such as Bruscoli. Elena Bruscoli, the current proprietor, is the 5thgeneration artisan to hand-make leather goods embossed with gold leaf, and traditional Florentine paper. She speaks English, and visitors are welcome. Tel. +39 055 212 947 - www.bruscoli.it - Via Montebello 58
  • Make a reservation to visit the stunning frescoes in the Brancacci Chapel. Located in the rather uninspiring Santa Maria del Carmine in the Oltrarno quarter, this painting cycle follows the story of Adam and Eve. An excellent audio guide can be rented as well. • For an excellent meal in Oltrarno, try Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, but consider making a reservation in advance. This traditional Trattoria specialises in wild boar and boasts a lively atmosphere. Tel: +39 055 215 706 - Borgo San Jacopo, 43R
