Carbon Hotel ★★★★

A sleek minimalist design in the green city of Genk.

Remarkable

By Lizzie Davey, VeryChic correspondent
Genk is a place you hear little about. Tucked away amongst the rolling green hills of Flanders, it is an unassuming town bursting with gorgeous Flemish architecture and cute shops. As well as being an important industrial city, and aside from its great shopping, it is also growing in popularity among tourists for its combination of green-living and contemporary design. I managed to find the perfect pairing of these in the Carbon Hotel, a minimalist, well-designed, and spacious hotel in the centre of the town that boasts a lovely green courtyard and a private roof terrace – the ideal place to begin my exploration of Genk and the beautiful countryside of Flanders.
