Chianti’s landscape is shaped by its famed wine production. Elegant rows of vineyards sweep across the hillsides in broad sweeps, daubing purple amongst the green countryside, and interspersed with the darker shades of the olive groves. The fragrance of the grapes perfumes the air. Overlooking this picturesque backdrop is the Fattoria Castelvecchi, a historic Tuscan farmhouse that once provided rest for workers of the vineyards surrounding Castelvecchi. Modern residents of Castelvecchi are free from such labours, but can still find rest in this exquisite, idyllic Tuscan retreat.
